My Path

My work as a therapist is deeply influenced by my own transformational experiences as a therapy client. I understand the courage and vulnerability it takes to seek support and actively choose a different path.

As the daughter of Korean immigrant parents, I internalized the shame and stigma of seeking support from an outsider. I was conditioned to pursue a one-dimensional path of success at the cost of ignoring my inner voice and knowing. Therapy allowed me to reconnect with my innate wisdom and resilience and to reclaim and take ownership of my narrative. I now seek to offer all that I have learned, back to you.

My Approach

Research shows that one of the most important factors for the success of therapy is the therapist-client relationship. I wholeheartedly agree with this and work from that perspective to create a safe, non-judgemental, relational space in service of your healing and growth. I collaborate with you and weave together different therapeutic approaches and theories to best meet your needs as there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing.

My style is warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth. When you sit with me, you can expect a therapist who listens deeply and empathically while also actively guiding you through those stuck places and mental loops. I strive to work through a trauma-informed, social justice lens to address the interpersonal, institutional, and environmental factors that shape who you are and the challenges you may confront.

I look forward to joining you in the work of self-discovery, growth, and healing.
